BASIC FUNCTION:
This position has overall responsibility and accountability to ensure the establishment, implementation and subsequent updating of the facility ISO management system.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manages ISO Business Systems to ensure control of documents and data that falls within the scope of ISO.
2. Site Quality System Management Representative to the ISO Registrar. Leads the site management team in the formal management reviews of the ISO management system.
3. Supports the establishment and continual improvement of key performance metrics consistent with ISO Standards. Reviews key performance indicators, audit results, customer feedback, process performance and product conformity and the status of corrective and preventive actions and changes.
4. Serves as lead ISO Auditor and manages the site’s internal ISO audit program along with other Quality Assurance audits. Provides guidance and training to internal audit team members.
5. Promotes awareness and understanding of ISO principles throughout the plant organization. Ensures that effective communications processes are established and maintained to ensure awareness and the importance of meeting customer and regulatory requirements.
Selection Criteria:
1. Bachelor of Science Degree in a related discipline such as Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry or Food Science.
2. Knowledge of the Quality Management requirements within ISO 9001:2008 and customer/regulatory requirements.
3. Some experience in conducting audits, data/trend analysis, food safety, HAACP and GMP.
4. Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external parties on matters relating to the Quality Management System.
5. Demonstrated proficiency in effectively managing relationships and influencing others to achieve results.
6. Demonstrated ability to multi task and achieve objectives within established timeframes.
